Summary
After moving into a moldy house around 2011, former endurance cyclist Chris Graber declined over several years into a wheelchair- and oxygen-dependent state with a central IV line, initially misdiagnosed as Lyme disease. Once Dr. Ritchie Shoemaker identified CIRS/mold toxicity, he started the Shoemaker protocol from December 2015 - moving out of the moldy house, cholestyramine (CSM/Welchol) binders, losartan, BEG nasal spray for MARCoNS, and eventually VIP nasal spray, which he calls "the key" treatment. By summer 2016 he could move independently, work from home and resume biking, walking and swimming, and by 2019 he was cycling several hundred miles and racing again, though he still could not drive and described himself as "still has a way to go."
