Summary

Never formally diagnosed but self-describing as a mild case, this poster went from an estimated 20% to 70-90% of normal functioning over 4-5 years on a large stack (St. John's Wort, 15g/day D-ribose, melatonin/Seriphos, acetyl-L-carnitine, fish oil) plus a strict low-glycemic diet and daily walking. Energy and mental symptoms improved substantially, letting him study and socialize again, but the gains need active maintenance - stopping D-ribose caused rapid worsening within days. He hedges heavily throughout ("I'm not sure how it has been able to do so much good") and reports no commercial angle.
