Summary
Took valacyclovir at 4g/day, reduced to 3g/day after three months, for ME/CFS marked by "sky high titres" to EBV and shingles virus, months-long viral crashes, severe migraines, and being "borderline suicidal at a couple of points" over 15 years. At 3.5 months, "EXACTLY AS THE LERNER PAPER PREDICTS," she describes "a MASSIVE SURGE OF ENERGY which has been sustained ever since," writing that for the first time in 15 years she could remember what having daily energy felt like. States the improvement held with no further viral-crash-type relapses as of posting.
