Summary
Three years after an EBV trigger and already on valacyclovir, adding 600mg of NAC daily for about two months reduced lymph node swelling and tonsil and sinus inflammation and raised the post-exertional malaise threshold tremendously, allowing walks and mini-tennis without crashing. The benefit was NAC-dependent, with symptoms returning within days of stopping, and it later caused emotional flatness requiring breaks.
