Summary
Hydroxychloroquine at 400mg daily, started August 2018, brought substantial improvement within about two months. Before starting, symptoms were borderline mild-to-moderate ME/CFS with POTS-like dysautonomia, frequent GI symptoms, headaches and rashes. After two months the dysautonomia resolved, GI symptoms became much less frequent, headaches and rashes disappeared, and weekly work capacity rose from 30 to 40 hours with resumed soccer, hiking and biking. Overall severity shifted from borderline mild-moderate to firmly mild. The account gives no longer-term follow-up beyond the two-month mark, so it is unclear whether the gains persisted or required continued dosing.
Symptoms mentioned
Symptoms: Headaches & migraine, POTS & dysautonomia, Pain & fibromyalgia.
