Summary
After a severe EBV flare in February 2017 that made cardiac symptoms - low blood pressure, low heart rate, shortness of breath, "heart palpitations like mad" - much worse on top of 5 years of CFS, started Famvir (titrated up to 500mg twice daily), added quarter-tablet Mestinon four times daily, then Celebrex 100mg twice daily. Within the first couple of weeks "the high pulse is GONE. The palps are GONE. The insomnia is much better," and over the following two-plus months, sore throat and glands went "mostly gone," she took a 300-mile car trip, and had "two separate episodes" of feeling normal energy for two days running. Sums up as "I am not back to where I was before this crash... but I am getting close to where I was before starting Famvir," with gains sustained through the following January, complicated by a concurrent ketogenic-diet trial.
