Summary
Alex did a three-day home-visit Lightning Process course with practitioner Kathy Kent, based on Phil Parker's method, after roughly three years of ME/CFS that left him room-bound for about a year, able to reach the bathroom only once a day at his worst, and needing to sit in complete darkness and silence on bad days; earlier meditation, vitamin B12 injections and dairy-free/gluten-free diets had not helped. He says "by the end of day three of the seminar, I was able to stand up, and walk down the stairs for the first time in many months," and that from then on he could do every "normal" activity again. Within months he was travelling around Europe independently, found work in London, and has since held a full-time graphic design job for more than six years. He reports no relapse into disability, though "mild symptoms" still creep back at times, and says he still has to watch his internal dialogue and keep using LP tools, self-coaching and meditation to stay well.
