Summary
After a mild bout of food poisoning with diarrhea, he noticed from the second day that some ME/CFS symptoms had improved — less brain fog and longer sitting tolerance. The improvement lasted several days but the brain fog "returned as soon as my stool started normalizing," so the gain fully reversed.
