Summary
Daily carnitine injections titrated to 600mg/day, for a lab-confirmed severe carnitine deficiency, let her do moderate strength training and calisthenics without the post-exertional malaise that even 10 push-ups used to trigger (previously a 2-3 week "flu-like" crash), and improved gut motility. Calls it "a wonder" but the gain came bundled with a new, worsening side effect -- waking at night to active digestion -- so it is a partial improvement offset by a new problem.
