Summary
Pemivibart (Pemgarda), a monoclonal antibody infusion whose effect the article says typically lasts about a couple of months, was given to three long-term long COVID patients. A 70-year-old woman, sick for nearly a year, had her brain fog, breathlessness and fainting resolve within three days and her PEM disappear within a week, with the improvement still holding two months later and a second infusion in July 2025 bringing further gains. A 63-year-old man, ill for four years, saw his PEM vanish within a week and resumed wood chopping, but the reprieve lasted only about 2.5 weeks before his fatigue and other symptoms returned. A 57-year-old woman, also ill four years, had dramatically improved energy and cognition that was still holding, aside from some residual sleep dysregulation, six weeks after her infusion.
