Summary
Had endoscopic sinus surgery after a biopsy found enterovirus RNA in her sinus tissue, on top of ME/CFS meeting ICCC and SEID criteria, POTS, interstitial cystitis and chronic viral infections including EBV, HHV-6 and Coxsackie B5. Had been disabled since late 2003, after a three-year remission earlier from 1998 to 2001. Says in her own words that the surgery hasn't improved her ME/CFS, though it has reduced full-blown respiratory infections, so she continues nasal irrigation and avoids sick contacts. A year after surgery she says she is glad she had it, but only for the infection-frequency benefit, not for her core illness.
