Summary
Nina spent about two years trying physiotherapy, occupational therapy, haptotherapy, osteotherapy and a multidisciplinary rehab program without success before shifting to a Tension Myositis Syndrome (TMS) mind-body approach centered on expressive journaling, guided by the Dutch podcast New Mi (Milou Pelle) and the book Weg van de pijn (Saskia de Bruin). She had been ill since March 2020, at her worst lying down 18 to 20 hours a day and unable to shop, cook, or talk with anyone for more than an hour without crashing. Roughly a year into the TMS/journaling approach she says she became "fully recovered at last" and can "do anything" she wants. She reports only occasional tiredness or headaches after busy days, which she says she also had before getting sick, and describes no relapse or required ongoing treatment, beyond her own decision to start a practice helping others recover.
