Jean developed fibromyalgia during a pregnancy and gradually became mostly bedbound with severe widespread pain, allodynia, brain fog and IBS. Under Dr Benjamin Natelson's care she had a vagus nerve stimulator surgically implanted. She still has some pain but cut her Lyrica from 350mg to 75mg and tramadol from 16 pills a day to two, and has returned to work, finished school and resumed hiking.
