An Herbal Approach to Chronic Fatigue Syndrome That Worked
- Condition

Summary
St John's Wort was one component of a multi-herb tea, taken as part of 25ml doses five times daily alongside chamomile, ginkgo, lemon balm, mistletoe, nettle, rooibos, skullcap, valerian and vervain, plus a separate ground-herb mix with ashwagandha and turmeric, refined over several months. She had lived with ME/CFS for 30 years and had entered a severe decline around 2010, rating her health 2-3 out of 10 at the protocol's start. By the end of the write-up her health had risen to 8 out of 10, with resolved lifelong hypersomnia, cleared brain fog, and exercise capacity up from 5 minutes to 60 minutes without a crash. Because St John's Wort was only one ingredient among more than a dozen herbs and spices taken together, its individual contribution cannot be isolated, and the post gives no later update on whether the gains held.
