Summary
Stephanie developed severe degenerative disc disease after a back injury at 22, leading to multiple surgeries and a mostly bedbound life with extreme pain that opioids, injections, physiotherapy and acupuncture failed to relieve. Ketamine infusions cut her pain from 8-9 down to 2-3 for three to four weeks per cycle, and she says the treatment saved her life. She still needs repeat infusions and cannot exercise vigorously.
