Summary
Featured in the Norwegian documentary "Sykt Mørkt," Kristine had been bedridden and essentially in darkness for five and a half years, a severity forum posters compared to the well-known very-severe case "Whitney." Weekly subcutaneous Gammanorm (SCIG) injections for about a year took her from unable to leave her room to sitting up, walking, biking and eventually doing political campaigning and advocacy work outdoors, plus normal socializing. Posters reported she was still in remission four years after the documentary aired, estimating her around 8-9 on a 10-point wellness scale. A second severely ill patient in the same documentary, Bjørnar, received SCIG too but did not improve, underscoring the response was not universal.
