Summary
Belsomra (suvorexant): a single 20mg dose taken together with Lyrica for sleep. He has ME/CFS with chronic insomnia. He felt groggy after nearly two hours but still could not fall asleep, eventually taking a separate Z-drug at 1:30am to get to sleep, and woke up feeling hungover and unrested. He concluded it works more as a sleep-maintenance than a sleep-onset drug and that severe insomniacs would still need another medication alongside it. No further use beyond this single-night trial is reported, and he judged it too expensive for the benefit received.
