Summary
Attended a Lightning Process course in December 2017 together with her sister, after a psychologist had lifted her depression but not her fatigue and a hospital ME assessment found nothing. She had been ill since a burnout in November 2012 at a psychiatric day-care unit, at her worst needing to rest between putting on each piece of clothing and having to choose between showering and cooking a meal on a given day. She followed the course with about eighteen months of work rehabilitation, personal training and a stint in a sheltered workshop before being declared fit for work in January 2019. She says "Now I am fully fit again," working a 90% nursing position and coping well with a hectic, unpredictable job, though she describes going through "periods of relapse, in which my body switched back into stress mode" and likens the ongoing recovery work to "a zipper which you slowly, tooth by tooth, join up."
